Natural Church Development refresher
training - Sept. 26
On Friday, September 26th, the Regional Synod
is sponsoring a Natural Church Development (NCD) Refresher
Training Day at Westdale Reformed Church in Hamilton,
Ontario. The training will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and be
lead by Bill Bickle of NCD Canada.
While the training is largely for previously
trained NCD Coaches wishing to upgrade their knowledge and
skills, it will be of benefit to others as it will provide
an overview of the NCD process.
We will focus roughly one third of our time
on each of the following:
- theory and philosophy of NCD reviewing
the Growth Principles,
- ProfilePlus covering the report itself,
how to uncover the themes across questions, and the benefits
of multiple Surveys on a given report (2+, 3+ and 4+) so
that it can provide not only a snapshot (1st Survey), but a
sense of where the church has progressed (2+) and then some
predictive capability (3+ and 4+) including culture barriers
- The NCD Cycle
(Test/Understand/Plan/Do/Experience/Perceive) and the
benefits of regularly conducting the Survey, ideally
annually.
This event is for NCD coaches, pastors,
NCD implementation team members, or potential coaches.
