The steering committee for the RCA's dialogue on homosexuality is launching an online survey to determine RCA members' perspectives on homosexuality and the church. This is the first step in a program designed to listen to the wider denomination and provide occasions for the denomination to engage in dialogue. It is important for all of us to share our perspective - Click here to complete the survey

A Word About This Site

A Word of Welcome

Klaas Slagter, a member of the Westdale Reformed Church in Hamilton, is spending his summer "Biking for Bibles". In celebration of the Canadian Bible Society (CBS) 100th anniversary, CBS decided to host its first national Bike for Bibles event.  P1010005.JPG "Bike for Bibles" hopes to raise $500,000 to help produce resources designed to meet the needs of specialized ministries working in the inner city, prisons, first nations and youth. Every kilometre traveled and every hill conquered means more dollars raised needed to translate and distribute the bible to those who are in need. Most of us likely have more than one bible, while millions around the world pay a great price for just one page of God’s Word. The main focus of the ride is to make the Word of God available and accessible in all parts of the world in every language. Let’s let God’s love for people be the primary motivation to Bike for Bibles.

The ride started in Victoria, British Columbia, on July 2nd. Over 64 days the team will cover more than 7,500 kilometres as they make their way through every province in Canada until they arrive in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on September 3rd. Along the way, they will pass through more than 200 communities. Church groups across the country are preparing now for they're arrival and they are excited by the response. This journey will honour the legacy of those who took the Bible from community to community as Canada grew and celebrate the future as they continue to spread God’s Word throughout this land.
