"Dinner is ready," Mrs. Fisher announced, as she put the last dish on the table.

Five other members of the family joined her and gathered around the table. One place was still open.

"Jack, will you go out and get Bobbie, he's probably still playing," mother asked one of the twins.

A minute later they heard Bobbie's name being called, and Jack came back in, but without Bobbie. "He is not outside," he said.

"Wait," mother said, "I will have a look in his bedroom, may be he fell asleep, since he did not have his afternoon nap." But no, he was not there, neither was he in any of the other rooms.

"I don't understand it," mom said, as she was back in the dining room, where the family was eagerly waiting to start.

"I guess, we should all go out and look for him," Mr. Fisher said. He saw the worried look on his wife's face, and knew, she was thinking of the creek. Though Bobbie was nearly three, and knew he was not allowed there, he just might have wandered towards it.

Minutes went by and nobody showed up with the little boy. Mrs. Fisher became more and more worried. Once again she went through the whole house, looked in all the cupboards and closets, but no Bobbie.

She was just about to leave the spare room, when she heard a little squeak. The baby-buggy was stored in this room, as it had not been used since Bobbie was a baby. "Don't tell me he is in there. -Impossible," she thought. Yet she went to look and there was . . . . Bobbie, fast asleep.

Mrs. Fisher took him in her arms, and kissed him again and again. She was so happy.

"Oh, Bobbie, did you ever fool us," she said. "Mommy, what are you crying about?" Bobbie asked. "Well, I thought you got lost."

"No, Mommy, I was in the buggy." "But why did you go in there, you are too big for that now, aren't you?" asked Mommy. "I came in here, and when I saw the buggy, I wanted to try and see if I still fitted in it. I rocked myself a little bit, and then I fell asleep."

"You better not do it again Bobbie, I was very much afraid that you had fallen in the creek."

"I'll never fall in the creek Mom, I promise."

Just then, Dad came running in the house, saying: "We cannot find him any . . . well, what do you know. Was he in that buggy? You naughty little boy. Not even three years old and he has played a trick on us already. Wait, I better teach him a lesson." With both hands Dad lifted Bobbie up high against the ceiling. "You better stay up there from now on, then we will always know where you are."

Soon the other children came back too, and heard the story.

Then Mrs. Fisher called for the second time "Dinner is ready", and this time everybody sat down at the table.

The little interruption didn't change the happy spirit of the thanksgiving meal, for it was always a very special one at the Fisher home. It made them even more thankful to God, who made everything so well. As they all took part in the thanksgiving prayer, there was a closeness between them. It is wonderful to share the blessings God gives us together, and it is wonderful to thank Him together for all these blessings.

REMEMBER. A FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER, STAYS TOGETHER.
