Title - Echoes of Easter from the Northern Churches in Classis Ontario

Topic - Classis Ontario

Greetings from the northern churches in Classis Ontario! Besides the fact that Spring is upon us and new grass is beginning to show, many other exciting things are happening. As I write this, Easter is only a few days away, and our churches wait in anticipation for this weekend. Guelph Reformed will be taking part in a delicious Easter Breakfast on Sunday at church. Three individuals also took part in Confession of Faith at Guelph Reformed this past month.

Drayton Reformed Sunday School and youth choir took part in Ministry of Music on Palm Sunday. The younger children walked down the aisle waving palm branches and sang Hosannas. In the service, the church had individuals taking part in Confession of Faith. Eleven members were welcomed into The Lord's Supper on that joyous day.

During the Easter season, a Lenten Breakfast was held in Drayton. More than 100 woman from the church and community came and enjoyed fellowship. They also were able to hear an excellent speaker, Ruth Bauman, sharing through ministry.

Six members of Drayton Church were also able to take part in ministry by going to Haiti. They installed water pumps and were able to socialize with the people there. The six members strongly realized just how fortunate all of us really are.

The Grimsby and Drayton youth also experienced much of that when they participated in a 30-Hour Famine held at Camp Shalom during March Break.

News from Harriston and Sheffield is sparse this month. Let us continue to pray for the congregations who are in search of a new pastor at this time.

As I said earlier, Easter is just a few days away. May we, not just this weekend, but every day, reflect on what God has so graciously given us-His Son.
