He's Got Summer and Winter, Springtime and Harvest
From the scorching heat of mid-summer to the biting arctic winds of winter, from the beauty of coloured flowers which dot our July landscape to the brightness of sparkling fresh snow on a January morning, the seasons arrive with routine predictability. How, after a severe winter, does a tiny seed survive to sprout in spring?
Varied shades of gold, crimson, burnished copper, and jade green are proudly shimmering in the autumn sunlight. Truly God's paint brush has provided a dazzling kaleidoscope of living colour! A gentle breeze makes the leaves skip and dance as they twirl steadily earthward, transforming the green under growth of summer into a dull brown.
Behind the beauty of summer, the sparkle of winter, the wonder of spring, and the brilliance of autumn colours our mind's eye glimpses a vision of God, who has created such splendour!
He's Got Technology ...
Who can but marvel at the technology which is required with space travel, or understand the delicate intricacies of a computer chip? How can the human voice be transmitted through wires which are stretched across the globe? What knowledge is required in order to beam live movie pictures via satellite across oceans and continents? I stand in utter amazement at these, and countless other technological developments, which far supercede my limited span of knowledge.
Since the beginning of creation God has created and ordained the laws of math and natural science upon which much of our technological knowledge is based. All we can do is live in accordance with these laws which He has established.
He's Got the Mighty Firmament ...
How far does our universe extend? Who hasn't contemplated the vast beauty of a starlit sky or marveled at the sight of the twinkling Northern Lights? We are overwhelmed by the limitless vastness of the firmament with its many galaxies, each steadily following its own orbit! How mighty our God must be to create the moon and planets, the limitless space by His hands!
He's Got All Creatures Great and Small ...
Did you ever watch an ant colony? Each ant has a function to fulfill. They all belong.
Tigers are fearsome, savage, mighty, and very dangerous. They demand our respect. These large cats, in spite of their awesome size, are quick on their feet and very agile. With effortless movements tigers stalk, pounce, and devour their prey.
In contrast did not the same God who created the savage tiger also create the gentle lamb - the lamb who is loved by all for its gentleness, meekness and playful antics?
Who can even remotely comprehend the complexity of a God so great that all the various species, large and small, fierce.
